They can get paid a reasonable amount of money themselves and marry their rich lawyer who can tell them where the Pacific Ocean is if they ever need to know.

Tests are necessary because the students have to have grades somehow, but they're practically worthless in high school. The BAR exam...now that's a good kind of test.

1. Your comment about nursing is a baseless, rude generalization.
2. If you don't like tests you had better avoid school.

^ interestingly we don't have multiple choice tests in high school ... at least not from 3rd grade on. Intuitively I'd say that multiple choice tests are a very, very poor method of testing knowledge ... but they're cheap and take less time to evaluate for the teacher. A simple matter of priorities!

The least amount of answers the better, unless you have to write it out...

1. Of course it is, but if you had as many dumb blonds from your school go into nursing, you'd think the same way. In fact, I said nothing about nursing as a profession other than it doesn't require a hefty knowledge of geography (does it?). If anything, I was generalizing the dumb blonds who go into nursing (because they think its an easy, cushy job).
2. Who likes tests? Confused No one goes to school to take tests, they go to school to get an education. Tests are an unfortunate consequence.

I wouldn't know, but it seems to be the default option for a lot of the heavy-drinking bimbos in my graduating class....

Guess when it becomes an unattractive option to them...about the time of their first test.

You have exams in Porcupine Tree??!!! Shocked 600 questions!! That beats the 10 Genesis questions on MasterMind.

I've just realised this Poll is a multiple choice and my previous answer was an essay.Confused

Stoney, I'd keep you thoughts to yourself next time you go into hostpital to have your tonsils out, that dumb blond heavy drinking bimbo nurse might just get the operating table the wrong way around. Ouch

And don't ask her to prick your boil. Shocked LOL

a gratuatous Nursey pic...

If it has yet to be noted, I am a nurse.

And I look much more like the figure on the right than the figure on the left.

And Stonebeard, please be aware that classroom tests are butterfly kisses compared to the tests my clients take on a daily basis. And they are frequently pass/fail.

No, I think Stony boy was talking about regular nurses not RN's.  I go to a community college with one of the best nursing schools(at least it's what I've heard.). The serious nursing students all want to be an RN, the "heavy-drinking bimbos" either drop out or becomes those nurses who have no actual responsibilities, they're pretty much receptionists.

That's a lot of questions for your boards.  NCLEX here has a min. 75 max. 269.  Do your boards have primarily concrete knowledge or a bunch of prioritizing and delegation questions?

Any plans on coming to work in the states?  I could use a nice fat referral bonus?Thumbs%20Up J/K, I think overseas referral bonuses are limitted to recruiters.  But I will say this, I really appreciate our PT's for getting the patients moving when I'm buried in paperwork.  Never let anybody marginalize the job you do.

You are referring to 'Nursing Assistants', sometimes called 'Patient Care Techs' or probably a bunch of other terms depending on where you go (and with the international contingent on this site, I'm sure it is quite variable). And believe me, I depend on them and they work very hard.  There are obviously exceptions to any rule, but a health care setting is one of the harder places to avoid responsibility.

If you don't mind me asking, what Community College would that be?
