Once at a party a guy with long hair and a very metal look started playing a song i recognized, so i took a shot and said "is thet the drapery falls?", which was the only song i had ever heard by opeth, and i listened to it at the site, and i was so proud that i actually got it right, and then i had to explain that i didn't really listen to opeth that much, but we still started talking about them and some other bands, and then we listened to the whole Damnation album and it was good. So now i have to get some opeth.

They're okay. The singer's voice sounds too much like a dolphin at points, but it's still good. I kinda like it, nothing outstanding.

Question: is this only for prog bands? Because in that case i have to rule out half of my favourite bands :)

Let me rephrase: is it only for OBSCURE prog bands? Because in that case I have to rule out... my participation in the thread...Tongue...(as I've been doing now... when opeth appeared, i didn't have time...Cry)

Just the PA listed bands, there should be enough bands for a while. After that we can put not PA listed bands.

Do Make Say Think - a post-rock band with lots of experimental and sound-avant technical apprises, most times working with abstract or borderline complex rock.

Very interesting electronic brother duo, very SYNTHETIK, somewhat in the Conrad Schnitzler vein. By chance, their stuff is VEEEEERY hard to find!

I've only heard their music for Nosferatu, The Vampyre, by werner Herzog... Outstanding... I've also heard their music in Aguirre, The Wrath of God, by Herzog.... Good dreamy, atmospheric, gothic music.... I'll like to hear more...
