Automatic features like that never work 100%, but when it does, it's a good quality picture. It's really not that difficult to find artwork and add it yourself.

I don't buy music from iTunes, so it doesn't do that automatically for me. But still, I have a fun time looking through the google turnout, and choosing which one I like best.

HT, is there a way to load the artwork in yourself through iTunes? I've done some searching and can't find any way to do it.

Cracks me up how they have just about every major Marillion album cover EXCEPT for Misplaced Childhood!

E-Dub, you do realize that if you hit the upward arrow in a box (in the bottom left section) then the artwork pops up in the bottom left of the screen? Are you? Well, if you don't have image at the moment, it is blank and says "Drank Album art Here". You can either drag a picture into that box, or you can right click on the song, go to "Get info" click the "Artwork" tab, and add a picture from your photos.

I can't say I've ever used WMA or Foobar or anything else very much, but I can say that I've been using iTunes for a few years now and it's never given ME any sh*t.

A simpler way of replacing or adding artwork in itunes. Select the songs you want to add artwork for. under the file menu choose "get Info". when the info window opens simply drag the new artwork into the box and click OK. This way you can do whole albums at once rather than one song at a time.

You can also add comments, alter genre descriptions, change groupings, correct spelling errors etc. in all the other information for those songs you have selected.

I've got over 26,000 songs in my itunes library and I use the Get Info menu extensively to keep things organized.

YOu don't even have to go into the "Get info" menu. If you highlight a song, and then click on the area you wish to alter (the name, the album, genre, et cetera) you will be able to edit the text that way. Also, you don't have to go into "Get info" to add artwork, you can simply drag it into the box in the bottom left of the screen.

Or, for a whole album, you highlight the album title in the browser, click get info, and drag the picture to the artwork square. It will put the picture on all the songs for that album.

Get's a nice word.

That's Get's house.

What is the big mystery about apostrophes -- and why do people go all the way through school, and STILL not understand them?

Bugs me too, just like improper speech. It's a mystery how people who grew up a mile away from me can say things like, "I ain't got none."

But I also know that typos are often the culprit here. As much as I stress proper grammar, my fingers betray me quiet often.

I think Peter is too sensitive also, but I think that I have seen somewhere that he is a teacher, so it his job to be sensitive towards these things.  However, I also agree with him and I think that people should take more pride in their work and what and how they are typing/saying here.

I know that In my case I try to use proper spelling and punctuation but sometimes it is hard to remember the various rules that, in some cases, I was taught twenty years ago.

As far as apostrophes go, I prefer Frank Zappa. LOL

As to his alot, I know that that it one of the rules I don't remember very well.  A lot or alot.  My biggest hang up is the "then" versus "than" usage.  I have been trying to figure this one out for years but still can't get a handle on it.

My biggest foul-up that I am aware of is the "their", "there" and "they're" usage.  I know the proper usage of these words, however, my fingers tend to type the wrong one more often than (or is it then?) not.

I think the problem is that the use of apostrophes was never properly explained at school in the first place. It was either taught when the children were too young to appreciate the difference and then never reitterated later when they were old enough or never really taught at all.

This is then componded by people not explaining why the use of an itinerant apostrophe is wrong in the given context -in this instance Peter did, but all to often the culprit is slapped down with no explanation.

Your and you're and there, their and they're are other homonyms frequently crop up in informal correspondance such as this forum, but to be fair to the posters, this is rarely due to ignorance, just speed. Also the similarity to the forum to coloquial chat implies that adhering to strict gramatical rules is not that necessary... after all, there are no apostrophes in speech. Since their misuse does not affect the understandabilty of the text, (as the human brain is perfectly capable of filtering out the nonsensical meanings from the one the poster was trying to convey), I don't think it is that big an issue. Stern%20Smile

I can remember a time when to flipantly use a split infinitive was a gramatical faux-pas. Wink
