I used to snore so loudly that I kept myself awake. Now I sleep in the spare bedroom...

Yes, that's very considerate, especially considering that there are some people who SNORE LIKE TRUCKS EVERY SECOND!!!

That is very considerate,Nevertheless, those that have tried to wake me from my snoring slumber have wished that they hadn't.
I have snored since I was about 11 years of age.I always fall onto my back during sleep and, therefore start snoring.
I was thinking of buying those strips that you stick across your nose that open up the nasal passages. But, to look like Adam Ant,even in my sleep,is just too much of a no-no.

Sleeping flat on your back may increase possibility of snoring. Gravity causes the structures of our throat to fall more posteriorly blocking the airwaves, which in turn cause vibrations, thus the classic snoring sound occurs. I think it's wise to wake up those who snore, so as to prevent complete blockage of the airways.

If a man snores in a forest and there isn't a woman there to hear him...

Grinding of teeth is normal during sleep. I hear myself do that sometimes. I also have jerks and sometimes, I also talk during sleep.
