Does anyone have any idea what type of organ Dave Stewart used on The Rotter's Club? Just curious.

Didn't most of the Canterbury bands use a Hammond through a Wah and a distorted Leslie cabinet?

Not really.  I just call 'em all Hammonds.  I'm not positive that Stewart's using one at all, that's just a hunch.  I'm sure there's some vintage gearheads on here who know much better than I do.

Vintage Hammond Organ of some sort

Rick 4003 bass
Chapman Stick
Warr Guitar
Lucite bass
Bassoon
Harp
Vintage Les Paul Guitar
Vintage Strat
Modular Synthesizer
Sequencer (to go with modular synthesizer)

etc. etc.

The Canterbury sound seemed to be achieved by driving the Hammond through various pedals and a straight amp/speaker combo rather than a Leslie. 

Dave Sinclair of Caravan had a Hammond A100 which was bought for him by his father and which he continued to play until relatively recently.  It's a bulky item and was stripped down and split into two for gigging.
When people get lost in thought it's often because it's unfamiliar territory.
