Good episode tonight. I felt last week's was a bit down on the usual standard, but tonight's was a cracker. Rush - The Necromancer part three - The Return of the Prince. Where else would you hear that mentioned 3 times in one program. And in the same sentence as "hand ...". |

Did anyone else realize in the Will Ferrel comedy skit on SNL (where he plays Satan with a guitar)
That the music that plays when he explodes on to stage is Larks' Tongues Part One? |

Part of Rush's The Necromancer from Caress Of Steel was just on about 15 minutes in.

Yeah, excellent show. His face was a picture when he staggered backstage for a party and found all these prim and proper guys with, horror, short hair, I actually felt sorry for him.

I only saw one episode of Saxondale on the watered down BBC America we get on satellite here. I didn't even know what it was until I came to PA (thanks darqdean). It was historical...oops...er ...that too, I meant hysterical. The episode I saw had the lead guy taking his son falconeering and an investigation into the fraudulent business practices of a pest control competitor. I fully intend to buy this when/if it comes out on NTSC/DVD. Not on Amazon yet.

Thanks very much, I did wonder if it was from this album, I must investigate...
Do they have Jamaican roadies doing the speaking parts?

It was definitely from 'Dub Side Of The Moon' - splendid album . I saw The Easy All Stars perform it last year at The Glade festival (sorry about the picture quality - trying to dance & take a photo at the same time isn't easy... ): ...and the 'Beef Wellington' line nearly had me rolling on the floor Edited by Jim Garten - August 04 2006 at 04:07 |
