Actually, "De" = "From / Of". For exmaple, I could very well be "Čuncuna de Lucía", wich means that I'm "Čaterpillar from Lucía / of Lucía". I think it says somthing about your plce of origin or the family you belong to or both. ¿Anyone from Spain? they should know. One thing is for sure; "de Lucía" is the whole last name. |

I correct myself Dimeola Coryell and Lagrene with at least two releases confuses the suitation further, e.g.

There's a strange thing when you use the search function to search for the trio (or for one of the guitarists, like I did by searching for McLaughlin)
It comes up with the title "McLaughlin and De Lucia Di Meola". Happily, things are unchanged if you search by letter: Di Meola, McLaughlin and Lucia (under the letter D) |
