Shouldn't the hints contain generic information about the words making the bands' names, instead of particular info about those particular bands? That's because if someone doesn't know band trivia will never be able to make a guess. For example I see no connection between Gryphon and the given hint Confused

A cryptic clue only needs to give hints towards the band's name. Dodgson is better known as Lewis Carol, so his little girl is Alice - the Gryphon takes her to see the Mock Turtle in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. (and Gryphon is the only Wonderland creature in the PA)

Not quite the only creature - the Unicorn from the sequel "Through the Looking Glass and what Alice Found there" and the Mad Tea Party are also in here. But they don't show Alice around.
