I've been listening to mostly avant stuff, specifically Shining - Grindstone, Estradasphere - Palace of Mirrors, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - In Glorious Times (which is fantastic by the way), and Mr. Bungle - Disco Volante.
This is rather odd for me as I'm usually much more into easy listening music like Symphionic Prog and Progressive Folk. For some reason the only Symphonic band I can tolerate at the moment is After Crying, a new discovery for me. I'm really loving "Overground Music". |

JEFFREY LUCK LUCAS - What We Whisper
I've found myself giving this album a few listens as of late...and I rarely give albums repeat listens unless they really impress me. |

Transatlantic - Bridge Across Forever.
I simply love this album and can't get it out of my CD player. I need to go back and listen to the first again.
Evergrey- In Search of Truth
I just got this actually and am enjoying it way more than Recreation Day. I know I'll get blasted for this but I enjoy EG's latest effort MMA a great deal and ISoT kind of conveys a similar focus on simplicity. Mark of the Triangle has to be one of the best in the band's library.
Others include Octavarium, Dissonance Rising, Remedy Lane and Space Revolver.

Nursery Cryme - always, Nursery Cryme! It's a current favorite; it's a long-time favorite (first got it back in the late 1970s). And I am sure it will continue to be a forever favorite!

GRAYCEON with their excellent s/t debut still dominates my listening time with their fellow GIANT SQUID and their Metridium Field album from 2006.
GOURISHANKAR, THE with their 2nd Hands album is also a fine release, eclectic in style.
Salle Gaveau and their debut Alloy is one I bought after the enthusiastic response to their show in the 2007 RIO Festival.
ROCKFOUR - I return every once in a while to this Israeli band's album called האיש שראה הכל - or in english The Man Who Saw Everything. Great 60's inspired psych rock. I also am returning to some other Israeli non-prog releases, but I won't bore you with those.
LARVAL and their Predator or Prey
LAURA and their Radio Swan is Down
The two bands I added recently to PA:
RATIONAL DIET and their s/t from 2007 (see my review)
RED MASQUE, THE and their two albums - Victoria And The Haruspex (with four different sounding tracks) and Feathers For Flesh.
ROOLAART, ANTON and his album Dreamer
Stolen Babies - There Be Squabbles Ahead:

For me... well not too much, except at work, where I find myself listening to Soft Machine - Third and Van der Graaf Generator - Still Life a lot (both original CD copies, rather than remasters, which always stay at home!),
As for normal listening, I plan to listen to more Guapo, as they're amazing, as well as Ahvak and Lacrymosa. Nothing has greatly excited me for a while, besides Lacrymosa, but I am sure the others new listens will sink in eventually. I also continue to listen a lot to Graham Collier Sextet and Soft Machine. |

Since my last post, some new stuff came to my attention and others came back to demand more attention or just to reminisce:
- Yog Sothoth - s/t (good jazz rock, although at first I expected something else..., should be added to PA)
- OSADA VIDA - Three Seats Behind A Triangle (great progressive heavy rock/metal)
- NEXUS - Perpetuum Karma (excellent!!)
- Robert Beriau - Falling Back To Where It All began
- Amygdala - s/t (I intend to add them to PA)
- Lacrymosa - Bugbear, Joy Of The Wrecked Ship (I intend to add them to PA)
- Bendian, Gauthier, Liebig, Stinson - Bone Structure
- Jeff Gauthier Goatette - Mask
- Steuart liebig - Pomegranate
- Laurent Thibault - Mais On Ne Peu Pas Rever Tout Le Temps (I suggested him for addition to PA, should happen sometime soon)
- KARCIUS - Sphere (excellent album), Kaleidoscope
- S.B.B. - Memento Z Banalnym Tryptykiem, SBB (Wołanie O Brzęk Szkła)
- TRIPLE ZERO (000)* - Crypto Sensus |

Just going through a female fronted goth metal phase at the moment. Nightwish and Epica I've listened to for a while and are superb, but recently added Within Temptation, Autumn and (when it arrives) Sirenia.
