I went to Wikipedia and look at the Cyrillic alphabet, and the archac Cyrillic alphabet has the letter uk (not uku). Check it out. It's at the bottom of the entry.

I have a problem with the clue. It is not the obsolete letter. It is the obsolete name of a letter.
 
I woudn't guess it anyway, though, since I'm not familiar with the majority of those names.
