i have it and i like that Jarrett's album from 1972. my fav track is "FORGET YOUR MEMORIES(And They'll Remember you)". right now i'm listening (and strongly recommend as truly masterpiece as well!) Mike Nock - "ONDAS", the album from 1982.
Mike Nock - piano
Eddie Gomez - bass
Jon Christensen - drums
IMO, the very best of 5 amazing tracks on this album is "LAND OF THE LONG WHITE CLOUD".
(one of the best ECM Records realeses of acoustic piano-bass-drum session ever, IMO.) Edited by gong - July 20 2007 at 03:22 |

Not underrated by me. He is among my favourite 5 drummers. And the name is Equipe Out, by the way. |

Zbiniew Seifert: What I play on the violin, I imagine being produced by the saxophone. I admire Coltrane and try to play as he would if his instrument were the violin. That's probably the reason I avoid playing my instrument in the usual way, with all the well-known effects. As far as I'm concerned, I follow the path taken by Coltrane... (a quote from the booklet of the album) |

This album perhaps confirms ED as a better clarinetist than Benny Goodman. Just listen to the variation of Bach's "Solfeggietto" in E minor (transposed in Bb key). How clean and fast he plays the arpeggios!

Listened to Kenso's 'Yume No Oka' yesterday. Wonderful melodic and symphonic jazz-rock, though sadly overlooked (even here on PA)!
