Is this advertisement been driving anyone else crazy? It's getting to the point of disturbing me that I had to ask is there anyone else who is to the point of smashing their computer screen. If you are like me then you are probably listening to music simultaneously while browsing this site and this  *)(&%#^%$  advertisement keeps BLURTING IN!!!!!!!!!
Please PA, stop the madness and end this infuriating ad!!!AngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngry

While I'm like you (human being, computer owner), I don't know what are you talking about. Use Opera or Firefox.

Actually I'm already using firefox. What I'm referring to as an ad with an audio blurb proclaiming that I have qualified for a free Apple Ipod or phone. I believe in free enterprise as much as anyone else, but anytime I look anything up on this site, this blurb protrudes to the point of making want to open a can of whoop-arse.

If you only did see it, then it wouldn't be a problem, the problem is that when I look up any bands that I'm interested in, it blurts out continually. If you don't have that problem, then I'm glad that not everyone suffers. But I'm wondering if anyone else does here it.

I was bothered by it, until I discovered how to block it. It can be done.

When I use Firefox, I just have to enable it to block popup windows. For Safari, I had to get a plug-in.

I don't use either one, pity. I just turn the speakers off when I'm in PA and don't go to PA when I listen to music.

The ad has been bothering me so much that I had to do the same thing, which sucks because I listen to music when I am on the puter.

It's one of the most intrusive, annoying ads I have ever encountered. It is one the top of 90-95% of the pages that I turn to here in the forum and in the archives.

Firefox is a free download, and it's much better than IE.

I can't stand FF.Everybody raves about it,and it's more secure than IE,but every time I have tried using it I found it to be very glitchy, and not worth the trouble.

Well is there a good adblocker for IE that can at least block the sound?

Erm... it has the same features, and a lot more to discover as one reads the help and tutorial files. Now, Opera is a cool browser that can certainly make things difficult. Both browsers are really worthy it (opera has a zoom magnifier, a voice module, gestures that recognizes movement from mouse and trigger certain actions, a POP web mail administrator, Torrent client). Anyway, I'm sure I'm the only person on earth that reads tutorials.

I have Firefox and still haven't figured out how to block it.  I went into Tools/options/Content and check "block pop-ups" but the ad still launches the audio every time.

If someone can tell me here or PM me on how to block this I offer my first born son as a thank you.  Big%20smile
