Round 1 : On the Sunday of Life AND Metanoia (eliminated)
Round 2 : Voyage 34 (eliminated)
Round 3 : Up the Downstair (eliminated)
Round 4 : Recordings (eliminated)
Round 5 : Signify (eliminated   Shocked)
Round 6 : Fear of a Blank Planet (eliminated CryCryCry)
Round 7 : The SKy Moves Sideways AND Deadwing (eliminated)

Well, the last few rounds didn't go as I hoped they would, and I find it strange that Lightbulb Sun is still in there.

I vote for Lightbulb Sun to get the boot.  Definitely the less proggy of their offerings, with some of my least favorite PT songs, "Four Chords that Made a Million", "Feel so Low" and "Where we would Be".  Their most "Generic" sounding album, in my opinion.

Lightbulb Sun beats Stupid Dream for one reason: Pure Narcotic.  My 15 year old is totally getting into that tune and learning it on guitar. But it also happens to be an excellent tune with me. How do you think he ever heard it? Wink

BTW...he is having trouble figuring out the song and guitar tabs don't quite seems to sound correct. Anyone have their own take on the chords?

You're right.  And it's fun that some of us can exchange on our tastes and still be respectful even when we don't agree.

'In Absentia'. Haven't heard the other two. Although I've heard the song Stupid Dream, which I like.

Maybe "Piano Lessons"?

I remember piano lessons
The hours in freezing rooms
Cruel ears and tiny hands
Destroying timeless tunes
She said there's too much out there
Too much already said
You'd better give up hoping
You're better off in bed
You don't need much to speak of
No class, no wit, no soul
Forget you own agenda
Get ready to be sold
I feel now like Christine Keeler
Sleepwaking in the rain
I didn't mean to lose direction
I didn't want that kind of fame
(Take your hands off my land)
Credit me with some intelligence
(if not just credit me)
I come in value packs of ten
(in five varieties)
And even though I got it all now
My only stupid dream
I see you and me together
And how it should have been
I remember piano lessons
Now everything seems clear
You waiting under streetlights
For dreams to disappear
