Okay Tony -- missed the "

Maybe it's the cloudy sky, cool weather, and MASSIVE CHORE LIST that's getting me down today....

The mag hasn't reached Sweden yet. It won't come here until two or three weeks after the release in Britain I was told.
![]() ![]() Don't really care if it isn't good, as some of you claim. I have nothing better to do while living far away from home during summer. I bought the Blues Rock issue and found it quite good, way better that the usual Classic Rock Magazine issue. Edited by Frasse - June 21 2007 at 14:26 |

Is VdGG in there? I see they're not listed on the cover.

probably saw all all the Dream Theater (and Rush) reviews on the front page...and decided to drop a screen shot hahhaha. I've said we need to restrict the reviews shown on the front page to PR/collab only hahhaha Edited by micky - June 29 2007 at 06:40 |

Check Sid Smith's take on Classic Rocks Top 30 Prog albums, and his own well annotated list of 30, in his blog, Sid Smith from The Yellow Room:

^I take it you were djaitch, Dick? Agreed on Styx, happy to see 'The Grand Illusion' included (all those who claim Styx have no place here have clearly never heard that album, imho) in CR's list.
CR's and Sid Smith's list are rather good, imho- a bit more wide reaching than the one Q did in their Prog special of 2005.

Yes my nom de deejaying.
Sid Smith often post some very well thought through views in his threads, and it appears he doesn't mind me hanging my halfpenny's worth in. (Sid once geve me a somewhat backhanded compliment wrt my record collection. On air Sid said when he died he wanted to be cremated and his ashes spread obver my albums...............he's a big lad though)..

I remember buying progressive rock/ Emerson, Lake and Palmer dedicated magazines in the seventies. I've still got them. So, it's good to see their re-emergence after all this time, but I found this one (Classic Rock's) disappointing. The regular Classic Rock magazine can be OK, but there still seems to be an over-emphasis on American rock bands like Kiss and Aerosmith.
