From that poll, Guiness, just because it f**ks you up well. But in real life, I'd rather have a cream ale or some Magic Hat.

My favourite is Guinness. But, as far as I'm concerned (I may be wrong), Guinness is defined as a stout, which (alonside an ale) isn't consider a beer (or, at least, there's a difference between the regular beer, from one side, and ales and stouts, from the other).
Apart from Guinness, I like Plzenski Prazdroj (aka Pilsner Urquell) and Budvar. It seems that most people here don't like Budweiser, but, as Tony Fisher said, there's a difference between the American Budweiser and the Czech Budvar.
I liked ales, by the way (unfortunately, I haven't taste them too much -- seven days in England is too short to appreciate the ales fully).

Just looking to the Brahma I'll get now...
We have the so-called "beer war" here between Brahma and Antarctica (not counting dozens of other brands: Skol, Polar, Cerva, Belco, Schincariol, Kaiser, Santa, Itaipava, etc). I like all of them!!!

Beck's gets my vote. Guinness is far too bitter for my taste. When I'm in the mood for a cheap drunk, I go with budweiser.

I'm afraid only the name is the same, unless the Venezolan POLAR is also part of Ambev (just like Brazilian POLAR). Ambev seems to buy everything...

Atkingani, when I was on Aruba last month, I was astonished how popular Polar beer (25cc can) is but I prefer Balashi, genuine Arubian beer that taste very fresh. especially whent it is hot and it is always hot so ..

Certainly the Venezolan POLAR, Erik... it's very popular in Northern Brazil too (I made a little research via Mr. Google ).
The Brazilian POLAR (now owned by Inbev) is produced in Southern Brazil and it's rarely seen as north as São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.
BTW, INBEV is a huge company merging Belgian INTERBREW and Brazilian AMBEV... these guys are purchasing everything they can.

I know Atkingani, I am a member of the Dutch beer society PINT and every magazine features stories about INTERBREW, they try to destroy the smaller breweries with their puer capitalistic ideas, Marx was right
This evening I enjoyed a Kriek (cherry) beer with 'abbey cheese', a great combination

From this list, I pick Stella, because when it comes to Irish Stout, I take Murphy's over Guinness, and Stella is a fabulous lager.
However, best beer ever goes to... Edited by GoldenSpiral - June 23 2007 at 21:32 |

Out of these, enjoy a drop of Corona - with a slice of lime naturally!
As for lager in general, my favourite, is a Canadian brew called Sleemers. I know of just one bar in the UK that sells it, located in Soho (London)
I head for this place every time I'm in London, simply to have a couple of pints.
Anyone else heard of or tried this beautiful beer??

Of the ones listed, Guinness. I like stouts and porters and occasionally red ale.

Mine's not listed here... it's Sam Adams' Cream Stout... closely followed by Boscos' German Alt.
