I excluded the live albums, compilations, singles, and YHD...

I vote On The Sunday of Life out.

Metanoia...just cause I haven't heard of it...I knew of all the others though so I'm guessing it's not important enough to be counted as one of their greats.

I can't believe there was a PT album I hadn't even heard of Shocked

Sunday is a good album, worth saving for Radioactive Toy alone. Stop voting for Linton Samuel Dawson and give the album a second chance. Stern%20Smile

I still think all of their albums are good.  But I'll vote for On the Sunday of Life... which isn't a bad album, but certainly not their strongest.

Why haven't I bought Voyage 34 yet....

Well, I enjoy progressive metal, but in terms of Porcupine Tree, I prefer their previous albums more. I can't really put into words what it is about their earlier work that makes me prefer it, I just do! Smile

Mind you, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the new albums; I just enjoy the previous ones more.

I voted to eliminate Voyage 34.

I find this album a little too boring to be honest, and there are sections too similar to Pink Floyd for me to tolerate.

Metanoia is the only PT album I never really cared for, but then I've never been a big fan of improvisational music (unless it's been filtered through the compositional process).

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I specifically bought Metanoia, knowing it was improvisational, knowing this is where one of PT's strengths lay in their early live shows, hoping I could use some of it within my ambient DJ sets - a little too improvisational for my tastes...

I personally enjoy Metanoia.  I mean I don't listen to it too often, but it's really pleasant to listen to at certain times, and it's relaxing.  Though it still doesn't match up against most of PT's studio albums.
