I am hoping someone has some suggestions for this:
The option to open MP3's in a new window isn't working. The window opens but remains blank and silent.
 
That would be ok except that I can no longer see the old option on the page.  The box just isn't there any more. (I'm told I should still be able to access the MP3's the old way.)
 
So I can't play the MP3's at all.
 
I have turned off both the ad blocker and the pop up blocker.  None of my other security settings have changed since I last accessed the MP3's on this site.
 
Any suggestions?

I don't have this problem but maybe Shockwave isn't working well to you.

I can't play the mp3s either.
 
The window pops up and I can see everything fine but no music plays when I press the play button.
 
It seems other sites with streaming mp3s don't work either.
