Anyways, that was an amazing show. Kinda dissapointing that they just played the album in sequence in first. It would have sounded better integrated. 3 were great, too, but their album is nowhere near as good as their live show. Does anyone know which song they played before Sever?
Anyways, I believe that I was the only one there with a yellow shirt (although it was usually under my green hoodie) so you might have seen me at some point, So then... yeah...great show.

I met up with Assaf and Abel (avestin & darksideof) and we hung out, and had some Burger King before the show. Fun times! And yeah, the playing the album straight through was a little weird, but I actually liked it, it was a nice change from the way bands usually do things.

I'll type up a set list tomorrow for those who didn't go but are interested, but there was one song I didn't know, probably the one before Sever but I can't remember where it fell in the order.

EDIT: Better type this before I forget it:
Set list (PT, Nokia Theater, May 19th):

Entire Fear of a Blank Planet album in sequence
Lightbulb Son
Open Car
Gravity Eyelids
Drown With Me (In Absentia outtake)

Trains
Encore: Improvised Jam (?) and Halo

did anyone else notice (I think Dan did) at the end of "Halo" when Steve sang "I forgot the words, you better f**kin' believe it" right before the last chorus? LOL I don't know if that's verbatim what he said but it was along those lines
Actually it was "I just forgot the words, can you f&!*in' believe it?" and yes Big%20smile
Unexpected bit of fun that almost makes up for them not playing Even Less

Hah, that's awesome.

All I noticed was the curse word, I couldn't make out the rest, so I just thought he was randomly cursing in a song kind of like the wedding singer in the movie "Old School". Hopefully y'all have seen that movie and know what I'm talking about. If not, see the movie, it's very funny.

Oh man, I can't stop thinking about how great the show was. I wish I could see them again on this tour. We really just saw what may be the best prog band of the modern era, entirely in their prime. It's a very good feeling.

Hey fellas!!
what a treat we had last I can hardly speak I was screaming through the whole night and I was making some fans laugh because kept rquesting for some old songs like "signify and Radio active toy" songs they don't live anymore

or they might play them later in their career as they get more popular. And speaking of popularity men the show sold out ( a lot young kids too) On my way home I also met a young PT fan I think the kind probably was 15 or 14 years old and his 2 other friends were very young as well. I am very happy that they had become so popular here in USA that' mean we gonna more live show in the city hopefully.
However Let hope that their future ticket concert won't get over priced like mayor rock bands these days. The first time I seen then I only payed $12.00 and they played for 2 hours. Whao!!!!
Anyway I also had a great time hanging new friends from the forum assaf, his wife and Matt ( you forgot his wife Matt ) real cool prog fans.
Let's do this again!!!!!!!

Also I have to say this!!

Since I the first time I saw Porcupine tree live at The knitting Factory back in 1999 near the same date I right way knew that PT is a band that has to experience live.
Last night they proved again to me after all those years. Their studios recording are always have been so limited when compare to the live shows. For instant last night they performed the whole new album for start to finish and if you aren't’ too excited about their new material and deadwing your perceptions will change afterwards if they seen live. It is a soundtrack that have to be accompany by a visual showcase in other to get steve wilson idea. Kid stay out drug and violence and parent pay more attention to your children.

Last the band performed brilliantly and no doubt one of the PT concert I ever since musically and visually. The light and the entirely presentation was done to almost to perfection as us the audience was overwhelm by eminence of their songs. What else can I say ?
if they happen to be playing in your city PT is a band that can’t be miss.

When I saw them in Baltimore on the 22nd they didn't play FoaBP straight through. They opened with the title track, then 3 songs in did Anesthetize, then scattered the rest of the tunes throughout the set.
