Practically anything by Aka Moon. Pierre Moerlen's drumming sounds really good on Gazeuse! by Gong aswell. As for a single song, I can't decide.

Excellent choice! Especially during the closing moments when he just goes ape sh*t on the kit.
Other Steely Dan moments are:
Bernard Purdie's shuffle groove on "Babylon Sisters"
Jeff Porcaro on "Kid Charlemagne"
Jeff Porcaro moments:
His impeccable rhythm on "Rosanna" and "These Chains"

Bohnam always gets the best sound on his kit out of any drummer, but particularly on "When The Levee Breaks", who knew recording in a hallway could sound so magical.

Pain Of Salvation - "Nihil Morari"
The sound and the line of the drum by Johan Langell are perfect

As far as drumming goes, the most beautiful drum passages ive ever heard have come from my man phil!
Just about the entire first half of "The Battle of Epping Forest" has some of the most intresting drumwork ive ever heard. Squonk is another excellent example of my man phil's talent for creating interesting percussion. Also somewhat more obscure example, of percussive brillance, is from the opening track of "trilogy" by Kingston Wall entitled "Another Piece of Cake" Right about the 20 second mark of the song, the drums come in, and take off. It's hard to tell which is meant to accent what???? but never the less, it sounds awsome.
Oh and who could forget the introduction to Kobaia (magma) such brilliant percussion.
Also, my last honorable mention goes to the song Jordok on the Album Hybris by Anglagard. Some of the percussion in this song is amazing.

John Bonham's style of recording the drums for Zep IV consisted of having the drums at the bottom of a high stairwell, with microphones hanging down from up high, giving it that booming, echoey feeling which I personally think sounds fantastic
and who can forget the amazing drumming by Pat Mastelotto on KC's The Power to Believe, especially Level Five (live versions are even betterI) Those electronic drums sound absolutely demonic!

I like Bonham's sound on lV, but I think he really perfected it for PG, Presence and ITtOD.

Yeah I'd go along with that. I also love the sound of Nick Mason's drums on 'Yet Another Movie'.

A special round of applause for Mike Giles on "I talk to the wind". It's a delightful tune and his drumming sounds lovely. I've just discovered PER UN AMICO by PFM and I noticed they based their whole drum sound on Mike Giles's!

I just love the drum sound on many of Zappa's albums, like One Size Fits All, Joe's Garage and Them or Us.
Also, Meshuggah always manage to get an amazing drum sound on their albums.
There are more examples I'd like to mention, but there's just too many!

Drums on any Mastodon album. Just love how they blend with the rest of the music. Take for example Blood and Thunder: so trippy and yet so metal
