Hmmm ... I see what you mean but they are a bit inconclusive IMO .... they refer to 'Ireland' which is probably Eire but people often confuse south and north [north is, of course, in the UK] ... link2 also seems to consider it a metal album which makes me even more suspicious.
Erik has reviewed it ... let's see what he thinks |

I couldn't trace much information, if anybody can deliver information about their native country, please contact me. The band Winter I have included was Rush/Marillion oriented, fortunately no metal ! I will do some investigation by myself, thanks to Clarke2001 for your post.

hi Guys,
I think i can answer your questions about WINTER.
Yes, they were an Irish Rock or Prog Rock band and were formed in 1987. The original line up [John Lennie - Vocals, John Murphy - Drums, Rab Beggs - Guitars, Rick Loyer - Bass and Phil Murray - keyboards/piano] recorded ACROSS THE CIRCLES EDGE as a Vinly E.P. in Ireland in 1991.
The band decided to tour in Holland as opposed to recording more songs so Murray and Murphy left the band, shortly followed by Beggs and a new line up worked in Holland for a while and during that time a CD version of ACROSS THE CIRCLES EDGE was produced by SI Records. [it was simpy a re-master from the original Vinyl recordings and played in it's entirety by the original band members].

As it happens -- there is also an American Metal band called WINTER -- I believe they have released several albums but they have no connection with the irish WINTER.
