Indie Rock mainly, and also Shoegaze and some Post-Hardcore (At the Drive-In in particular). A lot of random stuff from other genres.

I listen to alternative rock. I'm actually wanting to expand my horizons in that category at the moment. I feel like I've been too focused on progressive rock the last couple years since I discovered it.

In terms of bands, these are the one's I listen to: A Perfect Circle (my favorite) Failure Chevelle (their new album is great) Strata Shinedown (their 2nd album is terrible though ![Pinch](smileys/smiley26.gif) ) Earshot And a couple more that are decent, but not better: 10 Years Flaw I think some of these cross over with hard rock or nu metal though. Just a note: I was listening to all of these bands before discovering progressive rock (except for one).

I not only listen to it, but I also play classical and jazz, and I also listen to some other metal stuff (but only if theres something there that I find interesting) and some classic rock.
I voted classical, just because I play it often (classical guitar and tuba), but I also love a lot of jazz, especially Wes Montgomery.

Well, since there's no multiple choices, I'll just say 'em.
I do enjoy a lot of Metal, but I also enjoy a lot of Classical (I'm in love with minimalism right now.) and Jazz.

I'm disappointed - neither of these players are avant-garde!
Al di Meola.
