There were no facilities in our sixth form lounge, unless you count various university prospectus as entertainment!! No TV, no music, no computer, nothing. There was a computer room next door but that was not always open and was fairly strictly guarded. Those free periods were always nightmare-ish, yeah, that's why I'm glad I stuck with my four subjects.

Which subjects are you doing? For AS (and A2), I did English, Business Studies, History and Sociology. |
The subjects I'm doing for AS: Chemistry, Biology, Maths (Mechanics), and English Literature. I might drop English Literature next year, but I'm not too sure. Also I'm doing an extra maths class, Decision Maths 1 is the book I'm doing right now.
|
Have to be honest, I personally was never great when it came to maths and science especially. In year 11 I did well with my GCSE grades but I would not wish to repeat those subjects again.
I was going to drop Business (and at one time Sociology, but I'm glad I stuck that out!) after AS, but goodness, I'm glad I didn't- the sixth form in my school was fairly excruciatingly dull enough without having even more free time. I think it's always good to have a 'security grade', too. |
I probably will drop English because I need to concentrate on my sciences and maths my favorite and coincidently my best subjects. The sixth form has rarely been boring (except for a few times where I was without a book or music and my friends were in class) and I have to use my time wisely to get my homework done in time. And I am lucky enough to have breaks that are long enough for me to get home, relax, and then get back to school and never be late. Like today I do not have a class until after lunch (my morning one got canceled) so I get to sit here at home and relax before going to school

Define "Musician"?
Well I make somewhere around 600$ a month from gigs and stuff...... But I could never say I'm a 'pro musician'... I don't consider myself to be pro... I haven't eveen finished highschool yet....
Then again there are some crappy people out there who claim to be pro musicians, so who knows...

I am a student at the moment (high school), but ideally, I would have
published a novel by the time I'm finished university (studying
literacy, philosophy and the like) and will be a proffessional author
for a living.
But, since that's unlikely, I would love to teach philosophy or
literacy, or direct/write/produce movies, act, or play drums in a
famous band.

The question is wrong, or at least one of the answers.... You CAN'T BE A STUDENT FOR A LIVING... I mean, does anybody here get paid to study??? ... Anyone here pays his bills thanks to the salary he/she receives for attending college? .....
Anyway, I work in retail/sales, but I go to college.
