Maybe it's not such a smart question because obviously Gillan will definitely be the winner, but i'm curious how many votes will the others get. I would also like you to explain little bit your choices.

The poll says which one do I ENJOY more, and the is certainly Rod Evans, although undoubtedly Ian was the revolutionary voice in Deep Purple.
Rod Evans

Voted for Ian because I feel he has the best voice, although I am much more of a Mark I fan.

Another "didja know" - it seems that when things starting going sour between Gillan & Blackmore, Ritchie was thinking of trying to get another singer more in the style of Paul Rodgers for the band, i.e. less of a "screamer" & more traditional bluesy vocalist. Strange when he actually became the boss of his own band (Rainbow), that he went for Dio. Good pick, though.

Loved the song "Hush", but Gillan gets my vote. "Child In Time" is a great example, but listen to one of the more obscure tracks "Bloodsucker" off (In Rock) for, IMO, one of his best.

Hughes, Coverdale. Both are excellent singers and without coverdale there would be no Whitesnake. But as it is said, Ian Gillan == Deep Purple.
