Topic: Falling Into Infinity (2 songs) Posted: May 05 2007 at 21:28 |
"Lines in the Sand", because it's funky and elegant and for Portnoy's amazing hi-hat work on the verses.

Ya know what, If I had to pick fave DT music ever - it would be the "Mind Beside Itself" trio followed by a joint "Lines in the Sand" and "Trial of Tears" So the only reason I'm voting for Lines is cause it's falling behind on the votes.

Trial Of Tears!!! Not only the best song of this album but one of DT's gems. Is a shame that they didn't play it here in Venezuela

I love both but I will give a slight advantage to Trial of Tears. Great underrated album by the way.

The instrumental section (particularly petrucci's solo) in Trial of Tears is incredible. That solo exhibits such technical skill and emotion, not to mention the tone choice was great. Both songs rule, but the aforementioned puts Trial on top for me.

Fabulous, magnificent, superb poll...
Lines in the Sand for me... I have it among my top-10 songs by DT... and that's saying I have it among my top 20 songs from any band...
Trial of Tears is marvelous, too.

Trial of tears has some of John's best bass work, and the song is just better done in my opinion.

Tough choice, both great tunes.I chose "lines..." partly because of the KINGS X singers backing vocals.

Trial of Tears by a healthy margin. I can even forgive the ripoff Xanadu intro.
