hm, I guess I knida failed stating my big point here. The thing was to awake people to realise I'm really annoyed when it takes 4 times as much to open a thread than otherwise. Then when the images open, the page keeps jumping, so one has to wait for the whole page to open to be able to read properly. And the text is hard to find in there between too. If I was to decide, I'd make a limit to what Bj-1 has at max! There :)

No, it's not you, it's me. I'm just too lazy to click on the stuff. You're site is fantastic.

If you have constant problems loading the pictures from a page, then it's a technical issue of your computer or your internet connection. Normally, browsers save all the files they load from the web into their cache memory and the second time they encounter the same files, they just load it from the cache memory instead of taking it again via internet, so it works a lot faster. For example, once you've seen my sig pic the first time, your browser won't need to download it again, it will always take it from the cache memory (unless you empty it at some point). (Footnote: in this matter the actual size in kbytes is more important; a photo can be very large and "weighs" just around 40 kilo, while a smaller photo might go up to 200k... This also depends on the encoding - .jpg, .gif, .bmp, .png, .tiff, etc.) My cache memory is set at 5 Mega and it works just fine; it doesn't take me more than 2 or 3 seconds to fully load a Rogues Gallery page stuffed with pics if I've been there before. I suggest you take a look at the size of your cache memory and try some changes - maybe it's too small and the browser can't keep too many data for too long, or maybe it's too big and the browser is slowed by dragging tens of Mb of cache for each operation.

I really think there should be a limit on sig sizes on this forum. It's probably the main reason I don't read the forum very often: it's simply too messy. Each thread is a succession of ridiculously massive pictures that sit below each small post. Most forums I use have a limit on the height, and IMO, anything taller than 200-250 pixels is really excessive.

Exactly. I've stopped visiting certain forums just because people would post 2-3 words and one would really have to consentrate on finding the text between the huge pictures and long long texts under them. Imagine a long page with 3 posts, 6 huge images and nobody that has anything to say. It's just useless scrolling, no-one really looks at the signatures for that long anyway, they spot them and remember them, but that's all.

I jut make sure not to make fun of them or their "quotes". In some instances the private messages I've gotten explaining the person's irritation with my mockery made me question the person's sanity.
