Kamelot's female backing singer at the gig last weekend was rather tasty...Wink
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I have no favourite men in prog, though until a fateful day in July I was famous for my drooling about several assorted musicians. Now I have mended my ways, and won't tolerate any such behaviour from my future husbandTongueWinkLOL...

ANNIE HASLAM( Renaissance) Simply the best female vocalist in prog.

IRENE PAPAS ( VANGELIS)  this lady is a well acclaim Greek actress and she had an album in the 70's with the master Vangelis. if  you don't have this album I highly recommend great beautiful music. Strong voice though, but extremely beautiful. check this album out
Irene Papas Odes Featuring Vangelis

ENYA this lady sings like an angel. it brings tears to my eyes.

GILLI SMITH. love her poems and her screams.

CLARE TORRY (DARK SIDE OF THE MOON)  for those that love Pink Floyd's dark side of the moon. Don't we all love her vocals part?  awesome breath taking.!!!

Who the hell`s wife listens to prog? Anyway I have alot of European stuff with female singers. Of course Amon Duul II who for some reason didn`t use Renate Kanup enoughAngry. Her best album with them was Made In Germany.  I have a few albums by a Norwegian band called Ruphus which has a  female on a couple of albums, Flying Colours and Inner Voice I believe. I`m going to dig them out and review them.  Inga Rumpf from Frumpy had a harder edge so did  Janis Joplin`s evil twin Janita Haan who was with Babe Ruth. Apparently they have a new album with the First Base lineup but I can`t find it.  Octopus from Germany had a good mellower female singer named Jennifer Hensel. How about Briget Wishart who was that Blondie sounding female vocalist they had on  a couple of albums in the early 90`s. Maybe not prog but I`ve got a few albums by avante garde vocalist/pianist Meredith Monk . Hysterical voicings for some reason she is always in the classical section.
