Topic: PA needs a spiritual leader.... Posted: April 10 2007 at 21:20 |
Ok, let's see: we have reviews moderators, we have forum adiministrators, we have an adim team for all matters, we have reviewers, we have collaborators, we have teams for every sub-genre... I'm sure we have a cook somewhere in Dublin and a janitor somewhere in Birmingham... But where's the spiritual leader? Where's the moral authority who could oversee and lead the fellow Archivers through the path of peace and wisdom? Where's the one that can give counsel and words of advise?
After long, careful deliberations, I've decided to sacrifice myself at the stake and offer my services as SPIRITUAL COLLABORATOR for the ProgArchives cause... Don't be afraid, my work will be free, quiet, silent, nobody will ever find out what the other is saying; what you tell me in confidence I won't tell nobody, even if a Judge tries to use it in court (well, it would be the prosecutor actually).... So, what do you say?
It's time! Time for lighT! Time for joy! Time fdor the new SPIRITUAL COLLABORATOR AND MODERATOR!!!

I agree, then if he comes back alive we will know he is a good leader.
If he dosent... well... we can try the test on someone else

ˇConspiracy!. Anyway... I've been offering spiritual advice for months now in the "Ask cuncuna" thread, so vote Cuncuna. And as a first gift, I would give you a "random action" button, wich could destroy Australia, place Peter Hammill in your living room, burn yu to death or destroy all the cheese in your refrigerator...

In the old days, we had one such person... who used this as his prophetic avatar: May he who donned this avatar be the one and only spiritual leader of ProgArchives.

Hey! What's this? What's this sudden, abrupt, violent, inadequate intrusion in my quest to gain my people's favor?
Mr. Cuncuna, you can be the MOTIVATOR for the site... That's what you'be been doing, like those books "How to succeed in life" or "Ten reasons your life is not as good as it could be" or anything by Chopra or Cuauhtemoc Sanchez.... Ok, you may be the site's INSPIRATIONAL COLLABORATOR... But please, leave faith and spiritual and, in general, higher maTTers To Those who have learned and Those who undersTand The real meaning behind things like life, deaTh, taxes and why people prefer Their meaT rare or well cooked....
"And He arriveth in a Time of Glory and joy
and people from all The world celebraTed
as the forces of evil he came To desTroy
and bring peace To Those relegaTed
From every one of the four corners
A guiding cavalier sings for you and me
As we can now stop being mourners
and Rejoice! As is The Time for The T!!"

Progarchives has become too nihilist. The spiritually enlightened ones should build a giant spaceship and fly to a faraway planet, to develop a highly advanced, spiritually guided civilization. When some Earth travelers find us, we may share our wisdom with Earthlings, but only to find ourselves oppressed. Blah blah blah, lots of marching, blah blah blah, eventually our wisdom will prevail over Earth too.
Or something like that.

Or like in the album Cygnus X-2 showed above, you could just all die.

Do we need a spiritual leader??? Sorry T, I appreciate your idea (maybe for some people is necessary) but I get into PA cause there's not such thing as this!!! I don't feel comfortable with people who name themselves as "spiritual leaders", "motivators", "trascendental minds who leads people thru the paths of life" and sh*t like that...
