If you know what this word means without looking it up, you deserve credit for caring that much.Tongue

Sorry,l have to spoil your showing-off poll (WinkBig%20smileTongueLOL) by telling everybody what it means so everybody can have an opinion....

Floccinaucinihilipilification listen (help·info) (American English: listen (help·info)) is "the act orf habit of estimating or describing something as worthless, or making something to be worthless by deprecation".

With 29 letters, it is the longest non-technical word in the first edition of the Oxford English Dictionary, which presents it "as enumerated in a well-known rule from the Eton Latin Grammar". source: wikipedia

I don't have it clear how this could apply to the musical world thanks to pop music... unless what you mean is that pop music itself suffers from floccinaucinihilipilification, then it's a yes....

Depends on what pop you're talking about. Some of it is quite good. It's just a matter of looking in the right places.

No, not at all. Mainstream, bubblegum pop and all is, but there's better pop out there. Twee pop, chamber pop, indie pop, etc. It can be really catchy and enjoyable, especially when combined with folk.

There's lots of good Pop. Genre-facism is not cool.

Pop is just Popular abbreviated. Pink Floyd are popular. Genesis are popular, Porcupine Tree enjoys a modicum of popularity. Rush is popular. Would the description apply to them ?Big%20smile
