Favourite William Hung masterpiece?

I love complexity, so I'm going with Hung for the Holidays

Ansen's reviews brings some interesting facts about William Hung in his reviews, for example, "For true prog, try Free Hand by Gentle Giant or Nursery Cryme by Genesis. Camel are very good also ;o) " Thanks Ansen, thou art a true artists and this is thine art!

I consider all of Hung's albums masterpieces of truly progressive music.  However, I would not give any of them five stars because the albums are too avant garde to appeal to all but the most adventurous and sophisticated of Progheads.  Is it Prog Rock? No, it transcends such labeling.  Indeed, it's way too progressive for most Progheads to handle.  It took me at least fifty spins of Inspiration before I could start to penetrate and decipher his dense and seemingly unpredictable art.  This is progressive music for the progressive mind, body, and soul.

If you want to see Hung at his most expansive (may give some people a case of the willies), check out the bootleg one-man concert VCD "Hung Like a Horse" where he shows off his amazingly acrobatic multi-instrumental and vocal work (he actually plays all of the instruments simultaneously by utilising various parts of his body, and even more amazingly plays all of his body bits like instruments).  His piece de resistance is surely his grand organ solo that would make Emerson blush.  When he breaks into his  Air on a G-String  (you guessed it, done in a G-String) is an effluvial mix of avant-jazz and baroque that is sure to put the noxious wind into your sails. His rendition of Classical Gas actually knocked a few of the audience members out with it's heady mix of vapours. Be sure to get the version shot in glorious smell-o-vision for full effect.

And you can't talk about William Hung without an in-depth dissertation on his vocal talents.  It's true, his voice is to die for!  Of particular note are his angelic death growls that will make you think you've died and gone to Prog heaven -- couple that with his arcane philosophical notions that will suddenly take you by revelatory surprise seeminly rapped at random in his songs, and you have a truly profound experience that most will just find too effing ineffable to appreciate.

If you're a boner fide genius with several degrees in music theory, have extensively studied philosophy, and have the capacity to appreciate the, well, Hung man, then given plenty of patience, you too can appreciate the majesty and profundity that Hung Like a Horse offers.
