Well Laplace, my problem is not that you described why you gave them such a poor rating but the way you have done it: in general Mirage by Camel is considered as a strong effort and a wonderful symphonic prog album. Personally I love the great melodic lines, the emotion in Latimer his guitarplay, the dynamics in songs like Nimrodel and Lady Fantasy and the beatiful colouring by the vintage keyboards. Reading your review the Prog Archives visitor could get the idea that Camel is one of those amateur progrock bands that lack any creative ideas, plays too smooth and fail to keep the attention of the listener. That's contrary to the strong musical experience that Camel deliver with their album Mirage.... in  my opinion.
