Hi, i'm thinking of buying a new i-pod. Does anyone know if i can just plug the new one into i-tunes & it will automatically download my songs or is there anything else i have to do?

You should be able to, it worked for me. I had a nano and built up a library with that, and then a few months later I ought a 30gb one and just connected it and it put all of my songs directly on there.

Nope, I had to make a rule that I wouldonly put songs on my iTunes that I got off of the internet. No music ripped from Cd's goes onto the pod because it cant fitLOL

meh all my music does fit into 30Gb because I deleted all the metal, indie-pop and everything else I was keeping around for nostalgia reasons. my mp3 library is now concentrated awesomeness.

e.g: I got rid of Trespass because it watered the rest down.

another way that it's concentrated is that it's in quite low bitrate. i've never been able to distinguish between 128kbps and FLAC even on good earphones so I decided I shouldn't care.

good ears must be a mixed blessing =P
