At least I always feel worthless...especially to the people (or person) I care about most. There seems to be only a handful of people who would care if I wasn't here, and that If i was never here to begin with not much would be different.

So...overall...I gotta say...I am pretty damn worthless.

I used to have those feelings as well. What I finally realized is that everyone else has the same delusional thinking. You can't see your worth as reflected through someone else's eyes. They haven't got it figured out either. I used to feel very lonely, even when I was around large numbers of people. Now I don't socialize that often, don't have a significant other, and I don't feel lonely at all.

Hmm...well thats very intriging...and a good point.

I guess I'm just searching for a purpose right now. I have no job, no responsibilities anywhere, no better half, few hobbies, and most of the time just wind up sitting around thinking how much I'm wasting the "most important years of my life"...as its put so many times. I sincerely hope that once I find something that gives me some importance in life (assuming I do) this feeling will go away.

Also, generally, when socializing I feel better, for one reason I don't have the time to sit and analyze my situation. I just want to enjoy things now, and when I don't get the chance to it gets me further down.

You people, stop taking this thread seriously and treat it as the worthless place for worthless (and meaningless) discussion that it is.

Or else it will have served no purpose, and will truly have been... worthless.

So what you're saying is, worthless is worthless because we can't define it.

Which, if you really think about it, is a really cool vicious circle.

Probably very much so in the grand scheme of things, but not enough for it to bother me at all on a personal level.  I have beautiful music, I am happy.  I wish others here could share my views, since we all have beautiful music, and despite the fact that society is going downhill, we still have music and should be happy for that fact alone (I love many things on this planet besides music of course, many of which I cannot explain...)

Well, you've hit on something that is very important to me. I have spent a lot of time working out these very issues. It goes right to the heart of why most people aren't very happy. I don't like to see people suffer, especially when they don't have to.

^^^^

I understand where you're coming from, I just don't like to see it hijacking my perfectly worthless thread...

You understand that anything I post in here is not at all serious (EXCEPT THIS PART OF THIS POST). I honestly don't care what you talk about in this thread (in fact, if it helps people, I'm all for it), but keep in mind that I like my fun and I will nag you about it. Just pay me no mind.

And back to not being serious now: DREAM THEATER ROCKS!

I with you on fun. I'm sure you know that I'm not against a good joke (or even a cheap shot ).

BTW, Do you know where I can find a Dream Theater thermos to go with my Dream Theater Lunch Box?
