Either Jazz Rock or Art Rock for Bern...
I'm just not really comfortable with saying Art Rock is my favorite because it doesn't represent a style as much as the other subgenres in my opinion.

I like Symphonic rock a little more than Art Rock. But the next genres are Proto-Prog (in fact this should be called Psychedelic Rock 'cause I mean such a bands like Vanilla Fudge, The Gods etc.) & Space Rock for me.

I just noticed that my previous reply in this thread is out dated. My
current favourite subgenre is RIO/Avant, closely followed by Art Rock.

Yeah, you are basically saying that you like all of it since Art Rock is more like a category and not a sub genre. Having said that I will remind people that I voted for Art Rock.

Gotta go with Prog-Metal. When I first came to the site, I saw that none of my favourite bands were reviewed properly and I reviewed those albums, and found even new bands in the genre... I actually started really liking the genre after coming to PA (used to listen 70's prog mostly before that).

Canterbury Scene is my favorite. Discovered it on this website, and can't get enough of it. Jazz influenced, with catchy melodies!
