For the sake of completing more of the list, who's your favorite out of this batch?
And uh.....who's your second favorite?

I  have a feeling this batch may be a skewed towards one.
AFTER Lincoln.....
I say the best was Andrew Johnson.

I know he has a bad view in the eyes of history but he was the only southern senator that DID NOT give up his seat and join the Confederacy. I say that alone is a pretty big feat.
Also, IMO he handled Reconstruction well. He used the method of quickly bringing the Confederacy back in quickly, intead of drawing the whole thing out even longer.
He WAS impeached but it was a political move. He was the only thing stopping the Radical Republicans from having TOTAL control, and that's why he was impeached.

Also the radical's were.....radical and notoriously corrupt. He stood up against them. So that's why I think Johnson was the 2nd best of this group.

at this point the only one that I know very much about is Lincoln. Most of what I learned from US history classes didn't go into detail about any of these guys but Lincoln.
