Can't say Gecksy. Super paranoid !
Ever seen Mike Leigh's 'Nuts In May' ? Made for TV movie from '76. The moment the Brummies Finger and Honky appear is gold !
(Alison Steadman and Jannik Top on banjo)
edit: God I'm piss bored at work

Why are Alison Steadman and Jannick Top in a film together? That's a very odd combination!
Great bass player though... so why is he playing a Banjo? Paranoid, eh? No worries, no more prying questions. |

Yu, once again I'm going to agree with you. This one was definitely worth the fretful waiting. I think this one might be even dark than 'Les Morts Vont Vite', they surely have put Univers Zero to shame in this department. Do we have any idea what so of number this cassette was limited to? Also here are some track and line-up details, I have noticed on the site they are missing. I tried to make the changes but for some reason it was not allowing me. I know there is a place where these sort of things are ment to be posted, but too tried at the moement. http://bp0.blogger.com/_nXL1xrjzwNw/ReeytBzvYEI/AAAAAAAAAFc/sudWLdb9URs/s1600-h/shub+niggurath-back.JPG p.s. Yu, I couldn't hold back my smilie when I read your words in the comment section |

After leaving Magma, Jannick Top was Johnny Halliday's (the French Cliff Richard, and that's every bit as bad as it sounds) musical director for many years. Playing banjo for Alison Steadman would have been far more dignified, though not so well paid. And I doubt that Johnny Halliday participated in black magic rituals which caused Jannick to rip his own chest open, which was probably a welcome relief.
Mind you, Halliday's success may well have been the result of his selling his soul, so maybe it wasn't such a big leap after all.

Johnny Halliday's appeal has always escaped me (what with being not French an' all) in the same way that The Mighty Cliff Richard probably eclipses most of the French. Did Johnny write anything as satanic as 'Devil Woman' ?
