An ignorant question!
How is the word 'Zeuhl' pronounced?
Does it rhyme with "drool", or with "hurl", or with "boil"...or maybe it is more like two syllables, say "zee-ewl" or "zer-erl"...?
I'm hoping one of our Kobaian experts can enlighten me.

If Christian Vander pronunces it like it would be pronunced in french, it would be Z-euh-L.
I don't know how to explain that pronunciation to english speakers though. It would be quite similar to the -eu as pronunced in Deustch... |

In one song where they actually sing, "da zeuhl wortz mekanik," it rhymes with the word "dull."
So I'm guessing that it that's proper prononciation.

That's correct - "tsoil" is a close approximation (from an English/American point of view). |

Mike is right. it is pronounced the German way, as can be heard on "Magma Live", where Klaus Blasquiz names the band members, or on MDK, where they sing "Da Zeuhl wortz Mekahnik". for English ears it sounds like "tsoil". in general it can be said that if you pronounce their words the way a German would pronounce them you will be right in 95% of the cases, with a bit of Hungarian thrown in for the pronunciation of words like "Köhntarkösz" (the "sz" is pronounced Hungarian)

I always thought it was the same as the mythical god from "Ghost Busters," pronounced Zool.
