ProgDay was told by the band to bill them as "Nik Turner's Space Ritual."  ProgDay has to assume that Nik knows what he wants the band to be called.

As someone who isn't a Hawkwind fan, I'm not prepared to discuss Nik's actual contributions to these pieces. and if there are any inaccuracies in the ProgDay announcement they are certainly not intentional.  However, I think the relevant point here is simply that Nik is identified with these tunes and that they will probably be performed at ProgDay.

There are two lineups of the band.  One is made up of UK residents for touring UK and Europe.  The other lineup is made up of US residents for touring the US.

In Europe the touring band featured Terry Ollis, Mick Slattery, Thomas Crimble, Del Dettmar and Dave Anderson, whilst for live work in the USA the band featured the talents of Alan Powell, Del Dettmar and Paul Rudolph and also toured Japan with violinist Simon House."

Though you are of another opinion, Nik seems to feel the US lineup is just as legitimate as the UK lineup.
