I can see Mark II winning this one by a whole bucket load of votes...

Mark II, easily. But I also really enjoy Burn and Stormbringer (Mark III), Perfect Strangers (Mark IIb) and Purpendicular (Mark VII).

Mark 2 is obvious choice, but I love Mark 1 too.

Mark III for me, if only for Coverdale.  Burn and Stormbringer are my favorite DP albums.

Yeah, as stated before MK II is going to win this one by a landslide. It's my fave bunch of all of them. The only interesting aspect to this poll might be to ask "what might have been if MK IV (Lord, Paice, Hughes, Bolin, Coverdale) had stuck together "? Not to say they would have beat MK II DP, but just to wonder where their own little band could have gone. A totally new stew, new name perhaps, but they had something that could have made them stand out from the usual hard rock crowd. Cry

As big a Blackmore fan as  I am, I love "Come Taste the Band", which is,  in my very humble opinion, much better than "Stormbringer" (good album, yes, but nothing special).
