I am sure this joke can adapt to other genres....

Q:  How many RIO musicians does it take to change a lightbulb?

A:   The lightbulb problem is just a symptom of the terminal sickness of global capitalism.   It's society that needs to change.

Q:  How many prog-metalheads does it take to change a lightbulb?

A:  What's the problem?  By the time this solo has finished, it'll be light anyway.

Q: How many indo-prog/raga rock musicians does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: None.  They prefer candles...

Well, just look at the quintessence - quintessence cover (not the one on this site)...

Q: How many Retro prog musicians does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Two.  One to change it and one to look it up in the Genesis handbook.  Oh, and one to be in every stinking modern band known to humanity (Roine Stolt anybody?)...

Q: How many krautrock musicians does it take to change a light bulb?

A: 6.  One to go insane and go to america, two to play chess all day long, and three to get on their case about playing chess all day long.  Oh, wait, that leaves none to change the lightbulb.  That's ok, the music is more important anyway...

Woah, we both have Faust quote signatures.  I demand you change it; I've had my Miss Fortune quote a lot longer than you've had your Meadow Meal quote.

And I've been using the cover of the Clear Album as an AOL buddy icon for some time now.  You're freakin' me out, man!

How many neo prog bands does it take to flog a dead horse?

Only one, if the dead horse is Genesis.

We'll find out

And in a weird way, maybe it will be also more politcally correct!ConfusedTongueWink

Hey, how many Iron Butterfly members does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Two. One to screw in the lightbulb, and the other to finish the drum solo. It would have been three, but the bass player died...

(and no one quite gets it in 3...2...)

I just came up with one (sorry for the bump)

How many Post-Rock fans does it take to screw in a lighbulb?

Two.  One to slowly screw in the lightbulb with gradually increasing intensity, and one to nudge me awake when the lighbulb finally reaches its "climax" 20 minutes later.
