I prefer IQ
Ever is an enchanting album.
But my "better loved" neo-prog band is Marillion...

Pendragon for me. In my eyes they're second only to Marillion.

IQ ( I love them!)
Arena (some excellent songs)
Marillion (some excellent albums)
..and then I lose interest.Pendragon seemed a bit 'weak' to my ears.Nolan did better work with Arena IMO.

Never heard IQ.
But I do like Pendragon's "The Masquerade Ouverture" and "Believe"

Took me quite a few listens to start to enjoy Pendragon, but I prefer many other Neo bands.

I had the answer even after reading the options... IQ by really really faaaar... if only for their early efforts (I can't find anything useful in their latest production, but even those albums I personally don't like have more spark on them than any Pendragon album). Pendragon is boring beyond the meaning of the word.

I don't mind IQ, but really...
Pendragon are tremendous. My favourite neo band (though Marillion run them close).
The only place I might prefer IQ is Nicholls' voice, which is better than Barrett's, no argument there.
But in every other department I prefer Pendragon.
