Yeah, I think this is going to be a great Rush disc! Getting pretty excited over here.
Also, I've contacted Hugh Syme about working with me on a cover for our magazine. Keeping my fingers crossed that it works out. E |

Don't forget that in the past Geddy Lee used a Minimoog and an Oberheim synthesizer so he is a vintage keyboard aficionado, next is a Mellotron M400 !

this is great news. mellotron? you gotta be kidding me!
but........considering this IS second hand news, actually, more like third, ill take it with salt. the only thing i know for sure is that there is an instrumental, supposed to be very heavy, and Alex is supposed to be soloing more. but if this is true, then i cant wait for this album. |

Yeah, I heard that during the instrumental Geddy plays a hapsichord and Alex a balalaika...

This has me excited. Here's hoping they can produce another Power Windows/Moving Pictures-caliber album.

I'm excited, as a new fan. I only heard their commercial songs, but they were enough to get me! It would be interesting to hear what a band can offer after a 30 year career, wouldn't it?
(off-topic) Hey Natural Science, who are the guys on your image signature?Anyone? |

I need new Rush! That online sample was like just not enough. In fact, it made things worse. I gotta feeling it will have a return to proggier music.

I will wait till I hear it...don't want to tempt fate by getting too excited yet, but this is good news indeed!
Rush are still one of the most consistent and reliable bands around. Even my least favourite Rush albums are listenable and I play them now and again, eg: Fly By Night, Permanent Waves, Test For Echo. Their best ones are right up there with the best!
And Alex is probably my third fave guitarist. Still too underrated in some quarters.
Let's hope it's all true!
