The Latest Red Masque News....
In 2005, TRM vocalist Lynnette Shelley contributed lead vocals on a new album (Beyond Neptune) by New York musician Richard Orlando (of space rock band Alien Planetscapes fame). Due to various logistical delays, the album is now finally being released in March 2007. Shelley performs on the album's opening track, "Mother Earth." The project, titled under the moniker Ethereal, will feature other Alien Planetscapes alumni, as well as members of American space rock groups Quarkspace (Ohio) and Scattered Planets (Philadelphia). Meanwhile, The Red Masque have been busy in the studio finalizing their latest album, Fossil Eyes. We have been recording some final pieces at Vonorn's home studio, and plan on recording final drum tracks and other odds and ends in February. In December, Andrew Kowal added an acoustic 12-string piece (as yet untitled), while Brandon Ross recorded a piece ("The Worm") on his new "Little Phatty" Moog Synthesizer. We have some new photos in our gallery showing Vonorn, Andrew, Brandon and Lynnette in Vonorn's home studio (along with special guest Jah-Jah, Andrew's pet Iguana!). We have also updated the gallery on our website at www.theredmasque.com with photos from our last performance at the NJ Proghouse in November. Although the band was seriously delayed in recording this new album last year due to serious illness and hardships within the band, we are hard at work in finishing up the recording sessions as soon as physically possible. Thank you for your patience and your support. Until Next Time! Brandon Lord Ross, Lynnette Shelley, Vonorn, Andrew "AK 47" Kowal ;) The Red Masque www.theredmasque.com www.myspace.com/myredmasque [email protected] |
