here are some recent pictures of me :
- in the hotel during a 4-day profesional trip (well, half-profesional because I spent there the WE prior to the 2 days planned for my job) to Perpignan (south of France, 30 km from Spain) :
- on this evening in my room, the date on the pics are wrong, I didn't put it right !
I was too lazy to shave off.

Well, in my case it's a polish surname. But it is also a german surname, as there is this german auto racing driver whose name is Frank BIELA. And there is a town in Italy that is called BIELLA (with 2 L's this time).

They can grow quite large. Long necked turtles live for around 100 years I'm told. The one in the picture is about 15. It takes a long time for them to grow very large.
They are very cool animals, these particular turtles don’t bite with any great ferocity (they still mistake your finger for a worm though.) We have two ponds at our place and they move the 50 or so metres between them by themselves!
