I'm finally going through Le Match, Caramel Mou, Et Cetera, & Eclipse. LPs I've bought a month ago, but had to fix my turntable to then upload & burn them to CD.
Le Match so far is playing regularly in my car. They remind me of other Quebec groups (some contemporaries, others that would follow) such Beau Dommage for their pop sensibilities, & Garolou when they jam out on more traditional adaptations. One can see the schizophrenic nature of the group that would explain why they broke up after one album. One half the album reminds one of the above, the other half recalls the jazz-rock experimentation present in Quebec groups of the time.
