 Topic: 2008 US Presidential election has officaly begun!

Feel free to discuss. Who you like, how you think candidates will fare, etc.
Personally, I have a tough time sorting through who I like, and who I'd support. Right now, the only candidate I like, is Dennis Kucinich.
So until something changes, I throw my support behind Kucinich.
That is until, of course, Tiki becomes 35. Then it's him all the way.

I can't vote yet..... I'm no citizen....
But I'd vote Democrat. And then, I'd go for Gore. As he won't run, I'd go with Richardson or Edwards. As they won't win, I'd go with Clinton. Second choice: Obama. Third choice: The T.

I have a serious problem with a lot of the nominees:
McCain is a great leader for a Republican anyways, but he is a little bit too old and a little bit Conservative.
I hate Hillary, not questions asked.
Barack Obama is way too young and way too inexperienced, but still be better than Bush
Mitt Romney is a back-stabbing son of a bitch who wanted to become President in the first place, but instead became governor of Massachusetts to "gain experience for the job". What a prick.
And of course, the only vote I'm going to vote for is either myself, Daniel Gildenlow (I'm sure he's SICK OF AMERICA AND NOT AMERICAN!) or Ralph Nader.

Now I know something about Obama he has a brilliant career ,he is prepared ,intelligent and progressist,he could be a good president for USA and for the USA relation with the rest of the world,I hope that he wins first over Hillary AND AFTER over the republicans .And I BELIEVE that USA is prepared for a woman or for a non wasp candidate.

Get ready for the worst, guys, once Micky gets wind of that... I can just picture him in his best, full-on firebrand mode!  BTW, I'm not an American citizen, but chances are I'll be involved in all the brouhaha in some way or the other... Personally, though I don't know much about the candidates, I'd root for either Hillary or Obama for quite obvious reasons. I don't think the latter has any chances, though.

I dont think America is ready for a black or a woman president. I would like to see Obama get into office, however, and I think he would do a better job for this country then Ms. Clinton. (Though of the two, I think Hilary has the better shot).
Although if Rudi ran, I would most likely vote for him.
It will be an interesting election for sure.

I thought about a "you" option though...
SO, whoever voted for the me option...has just given me one vote for the Presidency.
Anyway, I personally have wondered who we wil laccept first. A black man, or white woman.....or reject both. Guess we'll finally find out.

I don't know that 2 years in the Senate qualifies as a "brilliant career", but he certainly appears to be a breath of fresh air. It was surprising to see even some conservatives on political shows singing his praises. The man has charisma, that much is certain. I'm wondering if he'll turn out to be the JFK of my generation or will just fizzle out. Depends on how he survives the Clinton "machine".

I will be four months off from being able to vote this presidental election  Sadly, there are no good Republican candidates, so it will just be a fight amongst Democrats, with no real competition afterwards.

Check out this website: http://www.fvap.gov/ I'm not sure about the details, but you if you used to live in the U.S. you may be able to register in that state, and if you've never lived in the U.S. but one of your parents used to, you may be able to register in that state where they last resided.
