Korroosio.fi presents:
19.01.2007 STREAM OF PASSION / AYREON + SILENTIUM (FIN) Nosturi / Helsinki / Finland Waiting is finally over as Arjen Anthony Lucassen arrives with his orchestra at Finland in january 19th 2007. This is the first time ever for Dutchman Arjen Anthony Lucassen's project's to reach Finland in their tours. This is also a real now or never event, because Stream of Passion / Ayreon lineup is making their last tour during this coming spring. After this Arjen Anthony Lucassen withdraws beck to his Electric Castle studio to finish the next Ayreon album. Arjen Anthony Lucassen founded Ayreon in the mid 20th century to be his personal dream-come-true project when his long term bands like Bodine and Vengeance finished their careers. The concept for Ayreon was to create a perfect rock-opera in which Arjen Anthony Lucassen would be able to combine any and all genres of music he liked as well as bring in numerous session vocalists and instrumentalists. With six albums made during ten years the name Ayreon has labeled gigantic, epic albums. Performing on these albums has been a great variety of the most influental rock, progressive and metal vocalists, including names such as Bruce Dickinson, Devin Townsend, Mikael Åkerfeldt, Andi Deris, Damian Wilson, Dan Swanö, Anneke van Giersbergen, James LaBrie, Sharon den Adel, Timo Kotipelto and Neal Morse etc. After the last Ayreon album, The Human Equation (2004), Arjen was so enthusiastic about Mexican Marcela Bovio's voice that he decided to create a new project presenting this voice better. This project was Stream of Passion, Arjen Anthony Lucassen's first real band for a long time. In addition to Arjen Anthony Lucassen and Marcela Bovio the lineup included Lori Linstruth, Johan van Stratum, Davy Mickers and Alejandro Millán. Their first album was published near the end of 2005 and was called Embrace the Storm, presenting dark metal with female vocals and Arjen Anthony Lucassen's progressive style. The album was received well in many directions which took the band to unexpectingly long tours to both Europe and America. Similarly to earlier Stream of Passion / Ayreon shows in Finland too the band will be playing equal shares of both Stream of Passion and Ayreon material, presented by Stream of Passion lineup. In addition to this, the show will most likely include surprise visits by instrumentalists and vocalists. If you're interested in one or more or even all Arjen Anthony Lucassen's numerous project's, this is an event you should definitely not miss. LINEUP Marcela Bovio : Vocals, Violin Diana Bovio : Bacing vocals, Vocals Arjen Anthony Lucassen : Guitars, Vocals Lori Linstruth : Guitars Johan van Stratum : Bass Davy Mickers : Drums Alejandro Millán : Keyboards, Vocals + Surprise visitors As a warm-up will be seen a Finnish band Silentium who will be performing a full length gig. The band was founded in 1995 and has released four albums, the newest one released at the beginning of 2006 with the title Seducia. This album was the debut for new vocalist Riina Rinkinen in Silentium's lineup and simultaneously Silentium's music reached entirely another, higher level as a whole and the album was received very well in media and among fans. Presenting various styles in their music, Silentium mixes very different elements to their female vocalised metal, all the way from heavy to almost schizophrenic atmospheres, using also various vocal styles. The band, which is planning their fifth album, will play (so far) quite a rare gig as a warm-up for Stream of Passion / Ayreon lineup in Helsinki. Finnish female fronted Lullacry added as another warm-up band for the gig with full support! Since the ticket sales has gone well I have an opportunity to confirm another band for the show and the band's called Lullacry. You can find all the information about the band from the link up there. Another warm-up band won't have an affect to prices of the tickets and the tickets already bought will do just fine the way they are right now, so no worries! |

A little update to this one. First of all, I have now confirmed a male quest singer to this gig, as I promised in the beginning. I won't tell you who he is, so you'll see him on stage when the time comes. It's still possible that this will have some kind of affect on setlist but since this is not confirmed, I won't promise anything. And then some other things. As someone said in the beginning, it's OK to bring cameras to this gig. I have informated the venue about this, so if you just don't you flashes and stuf, it's OK to take pictures there. Just remember to send them to band if they wish that. Then some stuf which I don't know details yet. There will probably be merchandise for sale on this concert too, so take your moneys with you and don't spend all of them on beer, so you can buy some nice stuf from there too. And no, I'm not making any money for this, so this is not a personal commercial. Also, there will be a "meet & greet" session but it's going to be arranged after the gig or before the gig somewhere else than in the venue. I'll let you know about this soon, as soon as I'll get the information myself. See ya! |
