Larry Gowan

Larry Gowan is a Canadian instrumentalist/vocalist who started off recording on keyboard with members of Peter Gabriel`s band at the time in the early 80`s. His first album was entitled Strange Animal and spawned a monster hit Criminal Mind which was definitely in the vein of prog as was the rest of the album and subsequent material. Anyone out ther ever hear if him? I`ve tried to add him but I just can`t figure out how. 

He`s been in Styx since about 2000 but I`m not too crazy about newer Styx material. I don`t know for sure whether or not he `ll be with them on the current tour.

Strange Animal was a huge success in Canada. I remember it sounding like a Supertramp clone to me, mind you I haven't listened to it in 20 years and my memory isn't what it used to be.

I remember a long time ago I read that he was originally in a prog band but the band just couldn't make a go of it. The same article was how he was a major Yes fan and it was a dream come true when Jon Anderson sang on his song "Moonlight Desires".
