Thing-Fish along with Francesco Zappa are the only two albums I've ever reviewed to get one star. So Thing-Fish gets a vote.

Once again, my vote goes to "Ship Arriving Too Late To Save A Drowning Witch". I just feel it is overly commercialized and a stain on FZ's catalogue. Plus 'Valley Girl' just makes me wanna throw-up

I feel Thing Fish will go this time...however...
I will vote for Crusin' With Ruben And The Jets.

I haven't heard either Thing-Fish or Trance Fusion yet. I voted Them Or Us.

I will admit that the CD remaster does have one of the worst sounds I ahve heard studio-wise, but the vinyl is much better and it is quite an original piece that works well in FZ's collection

If I never had heard the vinyl version of 'Cruising...' I would have voted for that one. Definitely the worst cd remaster I ever heard. What was FZ thinking?

... I'm surprised, Joren. You have more Zappa albums than me and yet you've never heard Thing-Fish... I'm not saying you're missing anything, but still...
|
Oh Joren is in on this too?
Well Cyg, now you can tell I'm really running out of Zappa to buy because I just bought Cheap Thrills yesterday

It works well - in a completionist collection. It's just not something that I would normally listen to - I'd prefer Thing Fish anytime (and I think that Thing-Fish is essentially a failed experiment).

Thank you, somebody finally gets me! Hehe I really don't see what the whole uproar over it is, I prefer it to Joe's Garage and Ship easily.
