How many bottles did you buy then Steve?
Just to change the subject a bit, I had the flu over Christmas and New Year and I'm talking real flu, not man-flu (as in "I've got a bit of a sniffle, it must be flu"). This is the first time I've ever had it - is it an age thing? Should I get a flu jab next Winter?

maybe you should, but flu jabs only cover a few strains of flu virus that the doctors think will be most prevalent in the proceeding year - there are hundreds of the damn things, best thing to do is spend the whole winter in an antiseptic air bubble..

Subject for the grey room? Forgetfulness - I keep meaning to take a picture of my shed for this esteemed talking shop... but keep forgetting.

Good idea, I think I will. I've been ill for 3 out of the last 4 Christmas' and I'm fed up with it.

The flu jab was available where I used to work. Funnily enough most of those who took it seemed to be ill for longer than normal flu with the side effects. Good food and exercise are probably the best way to avoid the flu, or at least shorten its duration if you do succomb.

I've made the same promise about a shed picture and am also guilty of " forgetfulness " but I'd rather excuse our so called greyness by saying simply that at our age we've got many responsibilities and many things to do  .

So, did anyone's shed get damaged in the winds yesterday? Mine is okay, but I was looking out of the window thinking that my fence was standing up well, when an extra strong gust came from nowhere and blew 2 6' square panels into next door's garden.
Homebase and B&Q are going to make a fortune on fences this weekend!

My nephew's a tree surgeon - I think the beers are on him this weekend

Funny because I was just saying to the beloved one at the weekend that we need a tree surgeon..... our old tree was looking a bit "dodge"......
we don't need one now......... it's lying in the garden...... fortunately it missed the roof and any livestock......
Shed is standing firm and proud........ (it's made of stone so I guess that helps!!!)
And just had the phone line restored (HOOORAH!!!!!) so all safe and sound here now

i thought they'd paved a stretch of the pavement with bricks near me till i realised it was a fallen down wall ! 
it was still almost intact!

Been in London for two days so not had a chance to check the sheds recently. Saw some girl get her skirt blown up round her head yesterday 'though. Bit chilly for a thong methinks

Another one when one is getting older ( a bit ): I went to a drink at work, for my co-workers I left early. For me it was about the right time. I can't take that much beer anymore. I am not drunk but no more for a while thanks!!
