Direct Link To This Post Topic: Question about Jethro Tull's Auqalung
    Posted: December 28 2006 at 21:28
I just bought Jethro Tull's album Auqalung,  and am quite perplexed about something.  According to PA's overview of aqualung(and the back of the CD case),  there are only 11 tracks on the CD.   But,  for some reason,  there are 17.   I noticed that Aqualung Live(the CD) has 17 tracks,  but I'm sure it isn't a live cd and is, in fact,  their studio album.       Is there something I'm missing?   How come I have 6 extra tracks on the CD?

 Thanks for looking!

As far as I know, there are at least three different issues of Aqualung: a regular one, and two with the different bonus tracks, the most common one including Fat Man, Wondring Again, Excerptfrom an Interview and Bouree I think.

Yeah,  sorry about that.  Didn't know that such a place existed.

The extra 6 tracks:

"Lick Your Fingers Clean"

"Wind Up(quad version)"

"Excerpts from the The Ian Anderson Interview"

"Song for Jeffery"

"Fat Man"

"Bouree"

I'm sure it's not the live version.. I'm positive.

All the ones I've seen in stores and the one I bought have Lick Your Fingers Clean, Wind Up (Quad Version), Song for Jeffery, Fat Man, and Bouree.

Whoever remastered Aqualung forgot to put little stars next to the bonus tracks. Pretty confusing actually, I remember jumping to the Aqualung page in panic hoping I didn't get the wrong album.

i have this version also. I believe the booklet mentions it was remastered by some kind of oddly named system, and it has a wonderful booklet complete with some nice drawings of the band.

To answer your question, yes, that is Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond playing on Aqualung.

And if someone says that doesn't answer his question; Jeffrey is the answer to everything...Jeffrey IS everything.

Pity the remaster didn't include 6 of Tulls best songs from 1971 :). But they are found on LITP though
